How the idea became reality

The original concept for The Lift was conceived in my garage 20 years ago as an act of desperation. At that time, I had two boys and a girl that were active in sports and full of life. With all their activities, I had lost my workspace to the growing amount of sports and outdoor equipment we enjoyed as a family. I needed more space in the garage…or more accurately, I needed my garage space back.

As an engineer, I am always looking to create things that solve problems…and for me, this was a problem that needed to be solved and thus…The the original concept of The Lift was created.

There were many iterations and many failed attempts, but the basic concept remained the same. I applied for a patent on the Trolley idea, but life happens, and I never was able to complete the process. Twenty years later, COVID-19 rocks our world and in turn allowed me the time to resurrect The Lift and finish the patent. Over that same period of time there have been many improvements in available products and materials that helped make The Lift a more viable consumer product that we have brought to market.

Over the years I have been lucky to work for some outstanding organizations and even better people that rounded out my knowledge, experience, and the confidence to get this product off the ground!

I hope that The Lift solves all the big storage problems that you may have and allows you to get your garage back along the way as well!
